Cancellation & Refund Policy

Jhalana safaris run on a forest department permit, issued in your name for a fixed slot. What happens to your payment depends on one thing: whether that permit has been issued yet.

The policy

Two states, one line each.

Before confirmationYou cancel before your safari permit is issued – 75% refund
After confirmationYour safari permit has been issued – Non-refundable

Once the permit is issued, the booking is final — there’s no cancellation, refund, or rescheduling on it, whatever the reason. It’s worth confirming your travel plans before that point, since a permit can’t be handed back to the forest department once it’s been drawn.

Why it works this way

Jhalana runs on a government allocation, not a booking system we control.

  • Each permit is tied to the ID submitted at booking and issued for a specific slot — it can’t be transferred to another person or date.
  • Wild Enthusiast facilitates the booking; the permit itself is issued and regulated by the Rajasthan Forest Department.
  • Once a permit is drawn against your slot, that allocation is used — there’s nothing left for us or the forest department to refund.

Questions about a booking

If you’re unsure where your booking stands, check with us before you assume either way.

Talk to us before you book

If your dates are tight or plans might change, ask us whether your permit has been issued yet — it’s the one thing that decides how this policy applies to you.
